Artificial Reef Consortium (United Kingdom)

The Artificial Reef Consortium, formed in June 1999 by divers John Busby and Nick Murns, was created with the objective of sinking a ship in coastal waters off the southwest coast of England.  ARC recently completed their first project, sinking ex-HMS Scylla in Whitsand Bay near Plymouth.   The project was undertaken in cooperation with the Mount Batten Centre, the National Marine Aquarium, the South East Cornwall Tourism Association, Maritime Plymouth, and the Rame Association of Traders.

They are currently in the early stages of their next reefing project in the Orkney Islands off the north east coast of Scotland.
